When I wake up in the middle of the night I have a hazzy film over my left eye. Does anyone know what this is?

it's normal...i get that a lot too especially if you are wearing contacts.it could just be that your eyes are dry and it could be whats called sleep that's the crusty stuff that is in your eyes when you wake up in the morning...i would get some visine and use that and see if it clears up...if it starts to hurt like someone poked a sword in your eye and turns bright pink it's time to go to the doctor then you have pink eye..it sucks and is highly contagious but for now no worries...good luck and i hope this helps

You may have an eye infection. Is your eye discolored in any way? May need to see your doctor.
