Question:
i have had my ears pierced for over 20 years and recently my ears hurt a lot when i have earings on. it hurts so much when i put the earings on, when i wear them, and when i take them off... do anyone have any idea what this might be and what can i do to help reduce the pain?
Answers:
A lot of it can be the metal that the earring is made of. Even if the jewelry is heavier than what you usually wear can cause irritation. If it is oozing and/or red, hot to the touch If you have oozing or the area is hot to the touch, you most likely have an infection. I suggest don't wear the jewelry for a while and DO NOT use peroxide or alcohol to clean. Soap and water does just fine.
take them out and clean your ears.
avoid anything with nickel in it. 14k yel gold is best. wearing no earrings is better than wearing cheap one
