Is it safe to drink when you take medication once a day?

Question:
medication taken each morning, and you are start drinking (alcohol) 1-2 hours later that day for a few hours. (eg.. 'hormone replacement' medication)

Answers:
It depends on lots of things... what results you are hoping to get, what meds you are on, and why are you taking them.

Honestly you need to consult with a dr or pharmacist concerning your exact meds and their exact effects, ok?

I take they say not to drink with them. I tried anyway. It created sever memory blocks for me. Scary. Side effects aren't able to be controlled. So, check up with a professional. OK?
not really. no.
sometimes it is, sometimes it`s not, it depends on the medicine. it should say in the instructions for the medicine whether you can mix with alcohol. if you`re still not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
hello, alcohol does not affect - is not contradicted - with medicines such as hormones - you will be fully responsible for your choice ,,drink or not drink,, . Alcohol is very dangerous with medicines affecting your CNS such as antidepressants, barbiturate, sedatives, inhibitors MAO etc. and anti-diabetic drugs (except insulin).
Not sure if it will hurt the meds, but the habit of drinking in the morning through mid-morning (at least) is not the best habit in the world.
You can't drink with antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, pain killers, (even Tylenol aka acetimiphine--as the combo goes to your liver). You can't drink while taking antibiotics--as the alcohol will prevent the medication from doing its job.

I'm not certain about hormone replacement pills, birth control pills, etc.--it might be a good idea to check them out on webmd or a similar site. I've never heard of a problem with them--but things are always changing as far as medications go.
It should be safe as long as u don't drink 2 much maximum 5pints
IT IS SAFE TO DRINK IN MODERATION, ONE OR TWO. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF MIXING ALCOHOL WITH ANY MEDICATION, IT CAN BE HARMFUL AND CAUSE DEATH OR IT CAN LESSEN THE POTENCY OF YOUR MEDICATION AND YOU WON'T GET THE FULL BENEFITS OF YOUR MEDICATION, ALWAYS TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST ABOUT ANY ALCOHOL INTAKE WITH YOUR MEDICATION OF ANY KIND
