What happens if you don't finsh the liquid you're suppose to drink the night before a colonoscopy?

In short, your bowel will still have stool in it and the fiberoptic scope could miss a polyp or mass.
The purpose of the liquid is to induce the cleansing of your bowels (intestines) so that the scope can see the lining of your intestines.
We end up pulling the camera back out of your rectum, (because we can't see if your not cleaned out all the way) we send you home to start all over again so that we can do the test the following day.
Trust me...just drink it.
You're full of crap
then you might have your procedure cancelled because they can't see things...because you didn't take all of the liquid you were supposed to.
It's kind of like asking, what happens at school when I didn't do all my homework last night.
