Help! Fell off my bike last week & hurt my knee but.?
Question:
the dress i'm wearing to the wedding is quite long but you can see my knees!
Answers:
Ooop's! Get some Germolene New Skin from your chemist, it comes in a small bottle with a plastic blade with which to apply it. It costs about £3.00 but is worth it. It heals cuts and grazes amazingly quickly. Its like a see through plaster and will stop dirt getting in it as well. It will wear off naturally but as it does, keep applying it. It should take the scab away before saturday but heres another tip. The scab is mainly made up of dried blood and dirt and will fade even more if, when you're in the bath ( better for your scab than a shower as it soaks it off! ) you gently rub it over with a flannel. Good luck and i hope you have a great time on saturday!
get a longer dress?
Nothing you can do- maybe you could cover it with a plaster on the day- plasters are fortunately skin coloured. Or you could get an underskirt! In reality, unless you are the bride it is unlikely anyone will stop a galloping horse to look your knees! All eyes will be on the bride.
Well, the obvious answer is to get a longer dress, but that would be quite a hassle. I suggest you just put a nice little bandage on unless you want to spend a couple of bucks on the creams. If they ask about the bandage, just tell them the truth or make a cute little story. They'll just laugh it off. Besides, it's a wedding. They have other things to look at. I doubt they'll even notice your knees. :]
I did the same thing last week! I have a pretty bad case of road rash, including on my knee. The doc told me to do wet dressings for 24 hrs for 7 days, then wet for 12/dry for 12. Essentially put tons of neosporin on your knee and put a band-aid over it. I have been amazed at how quickly my knee and arm are healing. MUCH faster than by letting it scab over, and less likely to have scars. Good luck!
