Injured knee on trampoline?
Question:
I warmed up and went over to the trampolines. I started bouncing and went to do a backflip. When I cam down to land, I must have been wonky. My right ankle rolled inwards and my left knee seemed to disintegrate under me. I lay there for a few seconds rolling around and moaning thinking I had broken my left knee. Luckily, one of the coaches came and helped me onto a box where I sat for the next hour with ice on it.
I can put about 1/2 my weight on it, but can't put it straight nor bend it past 90 degrees. Any ideas on what I can do to get better?! Im hoping to go skiing with my sis in a weeks time so I really need my knee to heal! thanks
Answers:
You most likely have a knee sprain (most likely the MCL), which will cause some swelling and therefore limit your motion and make it painful to walk. One thing you must do right now is place an ice bag directly on the skin on your knee to decrease the swelling and inflammation. I think it would be best to see an orthopedic doctor to examine the knee to make sure you did not tear a ligament and cause serious damage. This is important b/c if you go skiing with an injured knee you could make the damage worse.
You need to have an x-ray.
It isn't broken more than likely but go get an x-ray.
Sounds like you May have a small hairline fracture, better go to the Doctor and have it x-rayed. Don't take any chances. Any knee injury never really goes away so for the rest of your life it will occasionally act up. Sorry!

The same thing happened to me but i was doing a backhandpring. I put ice on it then i put this hot stuff on it
the i moved it alot even though it hurt but it felt soo much better after i moved it. But maybe u should go and see a doctor and get it x-rayed
good luck
:)
Did you hear a popping sound when it did it because if so you could have torn a ligament, I ignored a knee injury because a trainer told me i had just pulled a muscle and right when i thought it had healed i re-injured it and ended up having acl surgery and was out for 7 months
