Bruise-looking area on my arm after a shot?

Question:
Hi,

I have a bruise looking area on my arm where I got a shot at a dentist. It is a purple and rather large like the size of two quarters. Is this normal and will it go away?

Answers:
yes it is and it shall...unless you have a disorder where you will bleed under the skin everytime you bump into something...if you don't, the bruise you have is just a trauma for being injected...good luck!
I often get a bruise after an intramuscular injection. Sometimes its a bit sore for a day or two as well. It always gets better. If you're still worried about it, call your doctor and talk to him/her about it.
