I have a labral tear in my shoulder. No insurance, and am poor. Can I go to another country and get help?

Question:
I dont have insurance, or have a lot of money, and cannot just magically get a salaried job with insurance. I have a labral tear and a SLAP tear really bad. My arm is completely screwed. I cannot do much with it. Can I go to Canada or some other country and have them fix it? Or is their a big wait list? Is it really like SICKO makes it look to be?

Answers:
I have no idea, but people in Canada have told me there is a big wait list even for Canadian citizens. What ever you do, make sure you go to a 1st world country to get medical care. I have a relative who went and got care in Venezuela and it did more harm than good.

Since you are in the United States, I suggest you Google "free clinics" in your area. They have income-based clinics in most communities that may see you for free or for a reduced fee on a sliding income scale. It's really in your best interest to get your injury checked out by a doctor asap if you haven't already.
try contacting your local hospitol, ours here gives free care to low income familys and what not
We do medical cases on the uninsured everyday here in the USA. You may qualify for medical assistance. Contact your community hospital for more information.
