Shartp, sporadic back pain?

Question:
For some reason, I have been obsessed with diagnosing myself with cancer lately (looking up symptoms on the net doesnt help the situation), and now that I have this pain on sort of the right side of my back between my shoulder blades, Im worried that I have a tumor there. I was lifting weights a couple days ago, and had no symptoms before hand. Then yesterday I had a sore right rib right underneath my arm. Today I wake up and the pain there is gone but now I have a stiff neck and this back pain. I'm almost 19 and have no history of bone cancer in the family. I also went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago for an unrelated thing and he said I was okay and that my blood was rich. However, I keep stressing out about this. Any advice? I have an appointment with him for a routine physical in a couple days, so I will be going to a doctor soon. Also, I dont have any symptoms of cancer either. (fatigue, weight loss, etc)

Answers:
I think you self diagnosed yourself in the first line of your description "obsessed".

Hypochondriac is very serious and should be treated by a mental health provider.

GOOD LUCK!
The symptoms appeared to have come soon after the weight lifting, so it sounds like you've probably overexerted yourself while lifting the weights. You're due for a routine check with your dr soon, so let him know your concerns. In the meantime, try not to lift anymore weights. And if it's really strained muscle (which has also the symptoms you've mentioned), you're most probably not lifting the weights right. Engage a personal trainer to teach you the proper self-care methods when lifting weights the right way, so you don't end up hurting yourself again.
Take care.
