Head trauma doctors needed!?
Question:
Answers:
i am not a doctor but have a similar experience:
i fell in my backyard while playing with some kids in my daycare and heard a snap when my ankle twisted. i knew i had broken it again and had to call my backup and 911 to go to the ER. they told me it was sprained and how to care for it, but the next day it was worse and bent weird. so i called the ER and asked them to review the xrays again and let me know if anything new was found. still nothing. so i called an orthopedic doctor and he found a hairline fracture the ER had apparently missed. i didn't sue although i could have, because i understand sometimes ER doctors are so harried and busy its hard to treat all patients and sometimes things are missed.
Call the er again and have them review your records of that day. if nothing new is found, call a neurologist and schedule an MRI to make sure its all okay.
good luck and best wishes to you and to a speedy recovery!
and they do not do a full exam at the ER, it is exactly why they tell you to follow up with your doctor within the next few days of your release. they are trained in emergency care yes, but not all er doctors are trained tothe extent of what you may need for your condition
You gave your own answer! Doctor needed. Even if there are doctors and nurses on here, no one can give you a diagnosis or treatment over the internet.
To me, it sounds like you've got a bruise and some swelling from the injury, which is something I wouldn't worry about. Obviously though, you're worried about it, and I think you should consult with a doctor for that reason.
If you still have bump along with runny nose (didn't you go to emergency at that time, they do a complete checkup in emergency). If your answer is yes to ALL of them then i think you should see a physician (or i must say a physician should see you.)
