Answers:
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

i get them all the time too, and so does my mom...my mom has gone to the doctor about them...i havent, but i take excedrin migraine and they work really well.
When ever my dad had a migrane, he would take a really hot bath in the dark. It really helped.
See a neurologist (or internist) and get a prescription for AXERT.
Works like a charm and won't make you foggy.
try to find out what triggers them.
it will help if you keep a "headache diary".
Also, visit the doctor once you've keep up your diary for a while, he/she may help you figure out the trigger(s).
If nothing else, your doctor can prescribe medication which can help to stop a migraine before it starts. I use Imitrex and it's a godsend!
Burn eucalyptus or pepperiment oils. Or smell anything with a high mentholatum content! I hope you feel better
Obviously everyone is going to say this.but see a doctor. You could have some sort of condition.
Or- if you are on birth control, they could be causing the migraines.
Or- if you believe in accupuncture (certain pressure points on your body) - massage the webbed part between your pointer finger and your thumb. Always works for me in about 5-10 minutes. If you have a boyfriend or a husband, have him do both hands at the same time. :)
many women get migranes that are hormonal, and since your are every 3 weeks, that's what it sounds like. They can put you on a drug called topomax, which is taken daily to prevent them, or, if you know it is about the time, and you start to feel like you're getting one, take magnesium vitamens, 2 of them, and some vitamen d, and it will go away. it works, if you get no relief from otc drugs like aleve or excedrin.
i get migranes all the time im alergic to many foods and as a result of eating them i get migranes. you can try taking advil and other painkillers but they wont help a there are other ways to but i wont tell you because they dont work migranes are when the blood vessle above you eye shrinks then expands and the blood rushes through so the best things to do are to lye down still and not move becaues that will make it worse or sleep and if you cant calm your self down take a pill that will make you drowsey or sleeping pill. hope that helps
I get migrains too and very often. meds dont help and drs prescribe meds so they dnt help either.. i stick a potato in the fridge and then when its cool cut in thin round slices and put over my head it helps becuase it cools my head off and i fall asleep quickly... avoid noise light and stress.. GOOD LUCK
go to a doctor and they can work with you on medicine for preventing them as well as getting rid of them after onset. also, you can stay away from your triggers...common ones are alcohol, sugar, smoking, dehydration, stress, too much caffeine, exhaustion, etc...sometimes keeping a headache journal can help identify and narrow down your personal triggers. once you have the headache, ways to help get rid of it include being in a dark, quiet environment, sometimes a cup of coffee or a little caffeine will help, getting to sleep always helps (excedrin pm) or if you're desperate go to the hospital, they can administer pain meds and migraine meds to you and give you relief. best of luck and talk to a doctor as soon as you can!
I get some wicked migraines and some of the things that work for me besides strong pain medication are going into the bedroom and lying down (eyemask, ear plugs) to block out all light and sound. I have a cloth bag I filled with dry barley and I heat that in the micro but you could use a hot water bottle and put that behind your neck. The heat draws the blood away from the throbbing eye area and calms it down. I don't find cold helps as much, it just distracts from the pain. I usually feel nauseus so I take a Zantac 75 which is now available without a RX. A specialist told me they did a study in England where migraine sufferers took about 6 regular aspirin at the 1st sign of one and it helped but I tried it and it didn't work for me. I had acupuncture but that also did not cure my migraines. They are definitely linked to alcohol for me - 1 small drink - it's not worth it! I also find chocolate is a trigger and definitely stress. My daughter calls it my Christmas migraine every year. Sad.
Drink peppermint tea and inhale the vapors...Peppermint is a natural remedy...
