I have no idea what "paranekia" may be but as far as the swelling, it is quite common. In fact most if not all pregnant women will experience swelling (edema) during some part of their pregnancy, especially of the legs and feet.
Do you mean "preeclampsia"? Swelling or normal edema of pregnancy is not dangerous. If however if she suddenly begins to swell well into her second trimester, particularly in her hands and face, she may be developing preeclampsia. This is a serious condition that can be life threatening for the mother and baby. Preeclampsia typically results in high blood pressure during pregnancy. If this is the case, her doctor will keep a close watch on her and if necessary hospitalize her.

It's paronychia, i believe. But are you sure it's right ? As i know, paronychia is infection / inflamation of the nail (base of nail fold). It is usually due to "Staph" bacteria germs. Mild cases can be treated with soaks and antibiotic cream, but most cases are treated with oral antibiotics. Sometimes an abscess (a pocket of trapped pus) forms and has to be lanced.
