I stabbed myself..?

Question:
In the hand by accident. (trying to seperate 2 frozen pieces of sausage patty with a steak knife, it was really stupid, LOL) I havent gone to the Dr. yet because it happened this morning and I dont have insurance for one and another the bleeding stopped pretty fast and my finger and hand still work so it isnt an emergency. BUT I was wondering, it went REALLY deep, I am pretty sure it hit bone. And now I am having a problem. The knife went in the meaty part of the top of the palm of my right hand right under my pinky. But just to the right a little. (not DIRECTLY under my pinky but almost) And now my pinky hurts really bad and I can move it but I have a hard time using it when I pick up things like a glass of iced tea. And it hurts everytime I bend it or move it. It doesnt makes sense because I didnt hurt my pinky. Is there a nerve or tendon or something that runs through that area that goes up into the pinky?

Answers:
i just looked at a picture of the anatomy of the hand and by what you have told us you probably hit a tendon and need to go to a doctor to have it fixed
You need to get to the ER and you need to GO NOW!

If you severed a tendon, you're in trouble. If you hit the bone and nicked it, you are in trouble.

Just go, for crying out loud, do you think you're the only one in the world without ins? After you're treated and you get the bill, call up and ask them about their financial aid/financial assistance program. You might qualify and owe NOTHING.
Wow. you really should see a doctor, it might get infected, and then you'll have get your hand amputated!!
you need to go have it checked because i did the same thing waited before i went but i went and it messed my whole hand up also it still hurts today where i cut it so please go have it checked before its to late you will be glad you did
How long ago did you hurt your hand? If you hurt it recently (in the past 2 days) then obviously its going to hurt to pick things up and to move it.
If you hurt yourself a week ago and it's still hurting..You need to go to the doctor pronto, insurance or not.

(Btw, I dont suggest waiting anyways.)
Mobility is probably difficult because of swelling. You may have injured a nerve. I have an injury in the same spot. I have little or no feeling in my pinky and ring fingers. Please go to the doctor, because if there is nerve damage, you may permanently lose flexibility. My 2 fingers are now slightly deformed and I have limited movement. I'm not trying to scare you, but I would hate to see you suffer long term damage IF you have nerve damage. Good luck.
look up it on google that should help i hope it gets better
First off, nerves run EVERYWHERE. Second, tendons connect muscle to bone so if you can still move it, you are fine. It's possible that the wound it self is hurting you but it may be worse if it is as deep as you say. First off, make sure you WASH IT OFF. Cleanse it with hot water and hydrogen peroxide. Don't use your pinky (and possibly the hand) for a week. If you still experience pain, you should just have a check-up.
While I am NOT certified in any way, I only say these tips due to your lack of insurance. I hold no responsibilty for whatever happens.
First thing start drinking distilled water this will do two things
First it will ease the pain
Second it will heal faster
Clean the area and watch very closely if there is any infection starting to build then get to a doctor.
You are not yet able to do the healing by your mind and/or your diet. When you learn how to care for the body by died and know how to use your mind for healing you must depend on the pill pushers.
YOU WILL NEED A TETANUS INJECTION,DO YOU REALISE THE GERMS YOU WOULD GET OFF A STEAK KNIFE.DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR SEE A DOCTOR.
I hate doctors I fear them but if it were me I would go in your case. You may feel earlier that it was no emergency, but NOW you have one. GO TO THE DOCTOR. Tell them you don't have ins, they have plans in some states that will help cover the cost, especially for low income individuals. You could have severed a tendon or a nerve and either case, you are in trouble if you did. You could risk losing your hand or the finger. Losing limbs is where I draw the line. At least for me. I never have lost any, but still..
Payment should be the last of your worries. Get to an emergency department at a hospital as soon as you can. Sounds like you might have really done some damage and the longer you wait the more damage you might be doing. In the U.S. DSHS and other places offer help and payment for people who cannot afford medical treatment. This is an emergency and is not regular health care. Don't worry about it and get to a hospital.
