Has anyone taken Donnatal?

I just got Donnatal and i have not taken it yet. I heard it can make me tired or loopy?? like a narcotic. Does anyone know how strong it is? Like will it make me feel like i took vicodin or codeine? or is it not as strong as that? Anyone know? I'm just curious before i take it if anyone else has taken it and might know?

shouldn't make you feel like vicodin or really all that different, but everyone responds to medications differently. Just take as presrcibed and you should do fine. Didn't even know anyone still used Donnatal. Does the job though!
I took it a very long time ago (age 17) and it had no effect. I know it contained belladonna, which was also in the old Contac capsules and made you very loopy if you had an alcoholic drink.
dONNATAL CONTAINS, belladonna,phenobarbital; The phenobarbital is present as 1/4grain. IT used to be the most popular stomach pill on the market. It works exteremely well against nausea. I use it, and I'm a pharmacist.
