Really terrible headaches.?

Question:
I've had a recurring headache for the last couple of weeks and I can't figure out what's causing it.
Can headaches be caused from things in the environment?
The pain is unbelievable and i feel it towards the bottom of my head near the back of my neck. I know this is vague, but if anybody has ANY idea, i appreciate anything.
I typically take 400mg of Ibuprophen and 220 mg of naproxen sodium for headaches, and it hasn't helped at all.
Also, I have no medical insurance, so seeing a doctor about it is out.
Thanks.

Answers:
i have the exact same thing..and my doctor says that they are probably related to stress..he offered to give me shots to help keep them away..but..eh no im not a shot person lol

try to relax yourself when you get them..and drink a vault or redbull (seriously)
i would see a doctor if it doesnt go away, i know somebody who had headaches all the time and she ended up having a brain tumor in her head so just to check to make sure its not serious. hope you feel better!!
They could be tension headaches. Usually centered at the base of the head near the neck. You don't need medical insurance to see a doctor. Find the nearest clinic that provides care on a sliding scale basis. Check your local phone book under the county you live in.
it could be migraines witch are just really really bad headaches and you usually just have to wait them out, or get some meds from a doc. it also could be a pinched nerve, it sounds like that's it because of the place where its bothering you. that also would be helped by meds from a doc...it of coarse could be many other things i don't know about bc i am not an expert, but those are my ideas..hope it helps
If it is in the base of your head at your neck, it sounds like stress. Try a warm shower then a light massage in that area and your shoulders. Are you doing anything new? You might need to stretch more before you begin that activity. No jerky stretches just smooth flowing stretches. Hope you feel better.
I have suffered from headaches and migraines (they are different from each other) for years. If you are experiencing nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, and throbbing, the pain could be a migraine instead of a headache. Taking OTC frequently can sometimes cause rebound headaches. Try drinking a can of coke or something with caffine. In order to find the source of the headache, try keeping a diary of everything you eat that way you can see if certain foods are triggering your headaches. My mom always gets headaches with large changes in the barometric pressure and when the mold counts are high.
Hope this helps.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
