Do you have a problem with mosquito bites?

Question:
I was given a BRILLIANT and very simple & cheap solution to deal with them that I want to share. I keep a small bar of soap in by handbag and whenever my daughter and I get bitten we wet the bite and rub the soap on it. It has an INSTANT and brilliant effect. it soothes away the itch and burn immediately.

Does anyone else have a brilliant remedy such as this, about anything, not just mosquitoes?

Answers:
garlic necklace, crush them first. Apologise to your friends for the aroma
I will try your suggestion.
I can be right next to my husband and they will ignore him and bite the living daylights out of me.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Yep, that's the fix. Soap the bite. It will still itch for a few minutes, if you resist scratching it during these few minutes, the itching will stop permanently.

If you keep scratching, though, it won't work.
A touch of rubbing alcohol or even stick deodorant will help with the itch of mosquito bites.
yes, i bite them as when i can.
hmm thanks for tip babes will try it xxxx
Try a mock heache to keep the old man at bay. Drainpipe trousers are excellent for water on the knee. Have you tried a tap on the head as a cure for water on the brain. An asprin between the knees is the best and cheapest contraceptive.
Nice one, Apparently if you put a small amount of lavander around you windows it will keep fies away
Skin So Soft oil a product by Avon skin care and cosmetics works extremely well and doubles as a moisturizer. Also a gentlemen in the home and gardening department at Lowe's told me mosquito's don't like citrus smells. So maybe citrus scented lotion.
hi! sounds silly. but i was taught that saliva helps. and using ur nails to mark a cross on it helps too. (=
fantastic i will remember that. sorry i have no other remedies
It does not smell as good as your soap, but straight ammonia also does wonders for bites from all kinds of insects. I found this out when my husband bought me one of those "Bite Pens" - and we read the ingredients and it was 100% ammonia. Once the 'pen' got empty, we refilled it ourselves and it works great. It's about the size of a Sharpie, and easy to carry in my purse. With ammonia being so cheap, it'll last me forever!! Thanks for the soap tip !!
