Ouch! ingrown toenail?
Question:
Answers:
I used to have them all the time! Very painful! HOrrible, in fact. So, I studied the correct way to cut my toe nails. Now, I have no ingrown toe nails at all! When I cut my big toe's nail
I make a small V cut in the center of the nail. This allows my nail to grow into the V 'cut', rather than into your skin! Works for me!
You can do several things to prevent ingrown toenails from forming:
*
Cut your toenails straight across so that the corner of the nail is visible above the skin. If you trim the nail all in a curve instead and you don't allow the edge of your nail to fully cover the end of the nail bed, skin might grow to encroach upon the space where the nail usually extends. This can get an ingrown nail started. Use clippers that are designed to cut toenails.
*
Wear shoes that are large enough that they don't push your toes together.
i also have them all the time and have to see a foot dr.
