Should I go back to work taking pain medication?

Question:
Should I go back to work? I just got my wisdom teeth extracted this morning. I have been taking percocet since this morning and I think I am doing pretty good. I haven't noticed any side effects from the pain meds. Shouldn't they be making me tired? I work in security would it be approapriate to go back to work if I am still taking pain medications.

Answers:
The first question is should you be DRIVING on these meds. Read your info. If it says don't operate heavy eqipment... stay home.
should be fine.. for alot of people, they hype them up instead of making them drowsey.
are you lifting heavy objects, running dangerous machinery? Depends on your job,
If you feel ok and the doctor said it was ok then I would. Some people reacted different to differing mediation's so you half to us co-men sense. If you feel fine in the morning no wooziness, light headiness, blird version then ok. You can all ways go home if you go to feeling bad. Some people have a high tolerances for medication to. It take a lot to affect them.
