Knee Injury. Please HELP?
Question:
PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS
Any ideas what the problem could be? What would possibly not show up on the MRI? Any suggestions for questions to ask at the next Dr appt?
Answers:
If nothing is showing upon theMRI but u are feeling looseness in ur knee then i would ask the Dr if they could maybe do another MRI with a broader scope, or maybe even contrast dyes to help the ligaments be more easily seen. If nothing still come up then maye the Dr will suggest to scope the knee and see what he can find. (doesn't sound like fun though).
Also have u been to an ortho or are u just seeing a regular Dr. cause if not then i would take ur previous MRI to an ortho b/c they will be able to find things that other Dr cannot see b/c they are trained to find these problems.
Good Luck.
maybe ask for a bone scan.. it can show hot spots in the body that may have been hurt.. also.. go to an ortheopaedic surgeon.. not to have surgery.. but just to check it out
MRIs dont always show everything... i had one several months ago and it only showed an acl tear... once the surgeon got in my knee he saw both meniscus were tore
you really shouldnt let your knee twist and overextend ... 3 months post surgery and my physical theaperist tells me still to be careful not to overextend or twist it.
you should ask your dr. if a brace would be good to get (to help w/the overextension and twisting)
hope all goes well
