my answer also sounds a bit disgusting, but i would put baby powder in the crack to keep everything extra dry, and dont wear a thong (if youre not female, really really dont wear a thong lol) also, try putting some rubbing alcohol or witch hazel on a cotton ball. Just damp, we dont want any drops to go elsewhere! That will should help bring the pimple to a head so it will go away more quickly. other than that, when it does finally pop, be sure to keep the area extra clean so you dont get an infection considering what kind of nasty microbial bacterias live around that area.

If its anywhere other than the anus, its certainly not a hemorroid. Its very possible to have a blemish there caused by sweating and friction. Make sure you are cleansing that area often, and you may either leave it alone, put some acne medication on it, or just pop it! Again, keep it clean!
or it could just be a pimple. depends if it's really in your 'crack' on the regular skin, or on your anus. If it's on the regular skin, go ahead and put a zit treatment on it, i recommend tea-tree, but if it's on your anus, try Prep-H and see if it improves

The best thing would be to make an appointment and be seen by your family doctor, or go to an urgent care center. This is a very common problem and they will know what to do.
If there is no way you can get to a doctor and be seen, try to use a cold compress on the site. Something like an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas (no joke). Place this on the site for 15-20 minutes, then off for a few minutes, repeat, etc. Also take something like Tylenol or Advil for pain and inflammation.

oh man..huge painful pimple sounds like it might be a pilonidal cyst...for ur sake i really hope its not..i had to get surgery twice.. if it hurts any worse you really need to go to the dr cuz it might need to be lanced....but you can try sitting in the tub w/hot water and putting hot packs on it..an easy way to make a hot pack is by wetting a small like hand towel, sticking it in a ziplock bag or wrapping it in saran wrap and heating it in the microwave.bout 20 seconds, flip it and 20sec again...
