I had 3 discs fused in 12/05 .......

Question:
i had 3 discs fused in 12/05 (L3-S1) and have continued to have major lower back pain and as of
a month ago have started to experience numbness in my right leg. is this normal to still has so much pain and now
the leg numbness?

Answers:
Back surgery sucesses are very individual. Unfortunately, it seems yours was not. Continuing back pain and now numbness-you need to seek professional help, possibly not the same "help" you sought for your surgery.
NOT normal - get to your neurosurgeon so he can find out what is going on with your vertebra. Increased pain and numbness are a bigtime sign you are having complications. Make you appointment asap!!
when the spine surgeon operated on you he must have told you spinal fusion will cause stress on adjacent levels, mostly above.and eventually lead to future surgery.if you can swing it the next time you opt for a surgical solution check this out . GETADR.COM I went there 2 years ago to avoid fusion it it worked out well for me and every one else i spoke to that went there.
