What would cause pain in the knee?
Question:
Answers:
Definitely. I have played soccer for 10 years and run competitively for 6 years. If you run too much at once or on too hard a surface, it is common to experience "runner's knee." This is an achy feeling either directly below or on the kneecap. It is actually caused by the straining of a tendon. Perhaps you should run every other day and, of course, ice your knee for an hour at night if it hurts. Good luck!
Make sure you warm up, and cool off before/after exercising.
---Always stretch!---
Don't sprint your head off, jog at an easy pace. "Jog-n-Talk" jog with a friend and keep a conversation, if you can't keep the conversation because your breathing too hard, then slow down until you can, that will be the best jog speed for you.
