Can warm milk really help you sleep?

Question:
I'm just curious, is there like some special chemical that naturally makes you sleepy. Or could this be a huge hoax, started hundreds of years ago?

Thanks for any help!

Answers:
I've never tried it myself but I know people that have tried it with their kids and it worked, and I know one adult that said it did help...not like a pill or anything but it helped a little.
ive herd that, but it does not help me.
I THINK IT DOES WORK, BUT I THINK THE PPL WHO STARTED THIS RUMOR PUT ACTUAL LIQUOR IN THERE MILK HENCE ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
it should help you relax and also it makes your stomach work and therefor makes you tired
mostly for baby's but it does work because i have to use it for my son sometimes.
I couldn't drink warm milk if I tried! Yukkkk

apparently lettuce makes you sleepy though - and cucumber keeps you awake!
idk if it does

but i think it's disgusting
This is scientific proof. I think its the same stuff that is in turkey that makes us sleepy is also in milk
Yes, Warm milk always make me fall asleep, it doesn't matter how old you are. It really works.
Not sure, i would try it but then i'll be peeing all night!!
It can and u may want to add a touch of cinnamon or vanilla to the milk and this will relax the muscles and stress u are feeling and make u relaxead...
