Questions about antibotic doages why so high?

Question:
i was wondering if anyone knows why doctors give such high doages of antibotics.why dont they start with a very low dosage?also do you think childrens or small doages will cure the infections just as well as the higher ones?what do doctors go by that makes them deside the dosage?

Answers:
it all depends on weight. However, doctors use high doses to make the infection go away faster. I was overdosed on an antibiotic one time and basically almost drown in fluid. My kidneys shut down as well.
