Foot numbness and lower leg numbness??

Question:
My toe started going numb about two weeks ago and has gotten worse as pain in my hip and right buttocks has begun to emerge, I don't think it 's a disc rupture because I do not have lower back pain or lack of mobility. As the pain has grown over the last couple of days I find myself dragging my foot as pain intensifies and the numness has spread.
I do not remember any specific event that caused injury.... It just began to evolve. what's going on?
this is for a 42 year old male in excelent condition , always physically active

Answers:
Please see a neurologist. Sounds like pinched nerves. I have suffered with this problem several years. Exercise to stretch muscles gently, posture, walking at a moderate speed will help to a degree. Apply moist heat..see your doctor.
Sounds like a pinched nerve. Not all pinched nerves cause pain. If your foot is starting to drag, it is getting worse, fast. I would see a chiropractor ASAP. A chiropractor is the only person who can effectively unpinch the nerve. Drugs cannot unpinch the nerves. He will be able to identify if it is a pinched nerve, herniated disc, or ruptured disc. Ice will help with some of the symptoms until then. When you sleep at night, avoid sleeping on your stomach. This will further aggravate your lower back/pelvis. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees, or on your side with a pillow betwen your knees. Whatever you do, you need to do something soon. The longer you let it go, the longer it will take to correct.
Hope this helps
