Is socialized health care good or bad? Only people that come from country's that have it please.?

Question:

Answers:
I live in Canada. I have had MS for 10 years and would be in terrible trouble if I did not have free health care. A friend who shares my home is recuperating from a heart attack. He too receives free health care. I live in the best country in the world. I sometimes pity you poor Americans. You have a dunce for a president and no easy way to get rid of him.
If Canadians that can afford it come to the United States for treatment, what else do you need to know?
Socialized medicine is an imperfect system, but it offers a means for all citizens to receive adequate health care whenever they need it. In America, a serious illness can wind up costing a family its entire life savings. While the Canadian system is far from ideal, at least I know my savings won't be wiped out by a sudden emergency (ie having my appendix rupture 3 years ago). Yes we have waiting times. Yes, we pay more income tax. But I would much rather live in a socialized system, than leave it up to the open market to decide who lives and who dies. Privatized health care only proves that you can put a price on human life.
