Cut finger open with a razor blade?

you need to seek medical help as you may have cut -tendons/ligaments -or even possibly nerve pathways -the bleeding should stop with direst pressure-dont use paper towels -because if you pull off the blood clot -you might re-open the would -use gauze and soak it with water before removing it -you can use mederma to reduce the scar --if it starts getting *****-or you notice red striped appearence -its getting infected -go immediately to an er also -if the paper towel has ink imprinted on it -it could possibly cause a reaction to the dye used in the paper towel
a deep enough cut could bleed for 20-30 minutes. you really should be checked by a doctor or ER to make sure you don't need stitches and/or a tetanus shot. you don't want to risk a bad infection.
keep putting pressure on it. I believe there will be a scar after a couple of weeks of healing. make sure u change the paper towel. good luck.
When the bleeding stops i would recommend taking it all off and cleaning out the cut really good with hydrogen peroxide and then gluing the cut together with super glue. The super glue will help keep out the nasty bacteria. Also continue to clean it really good in order to avoid infection.
OuCh!! I think you should go up to the local ER and have them look at it. You may need stiches and a tetanis shot.
i did the same thing and it bled for about 2 days..not straight, but sometimes if i hit it or something it would start bleeding again...i would say leave something on it for about a week.
I hope the paper towel is under the tape otherwise I doubt you can get it off without reopening the wound. Definately go to a dr. If a tendon or ligament is damaged you could lose the use of that finger.
