Question:

Answers:
There's a nerve that runs down your arm...I can't remember what it's called but we were discussing in in class.

A funny bone is actually a nerve, not a bone at all.
u r hitting the nerve passing there
It is only called a funny bone because the medical term for it is the Humorous.
It hurts because: a. There are multiple small nerves that are affected, b. The skin around the funny bone is thinner, therefore the shock that thicker skinned areas can absorb isn't as great.
Because you are hitting the ulnar nerve as it runs alongside your elbow on it's way to your hand. that's why when you hit your "funny bone" you feel those tingly, shooty pains down into your ring and pinky fingers! fun stuff, right!?
