What actually kills a suicide jumper if it's rarely the impact?

i've actually heard the brain shuts down before impact but if impact doesn't kill you i'm not sure what else would from the fall other than impacting something on the way down
Well i always assume it's impact because if you push someone who's not suicidal off of a building then they die on impact.
and how can we know if the brain shuts down beforehand if we've never had a jumper to ask??
I think its a heart attack that killes them.
