Answers:
when i got my braces on my teeth ached for a while, but a couple of tylenols helps
It is not unbearable pain it will just be very sore.
I JUST GOT MINE TIGHTENED AND THEY HURT LIKE HELL
A bit of pain but you will be fine .
They hurt like crazy. Then, everytime you go in to get them tightened, they hurt even more. Tylenol will help a little. Too bad you're probably too young to drink. I feel sorry for you.
Yes they will hurt. the process does not but after you get them on your teeth will be sore. eat soft foods for a few days to a week b/c thats all you can eat. Even eating chips can become difficult and painful. be careful. but it should go away in about a week or so. i had them for 5 years so ya, got exp.
YES! The night I got mine, it took 2 hrs. to eat a Subway sandwich with a fork and knife since my face hurt so much. Take two advil before you go, if you're 21, maybe have a cocktail or two. Just be prepared. And on the way there, go buy a little tin of orthodontic wax at the drugstore. You put a glob over the metal where it will inevitably rub the inside of your mouth since your mouth isn't used to having something against it. The good news is that it hurts less over time, and that when you're done, you'll have pretty, straight teeth. Another hint--don't use whitening products while you have braces or when they are removed, where the brackets were will be darker.
It does not hurt even a little bit. It is slightly uncomfortable laying there for so long, but that is the same with all dental procedures. You probably won't even be able to tell when they are putting them on. You have nothing to worry about!
It hurt me a little bit, but not too bad. But my mouth was sore for several days afterwards, and the braces kept giving me kanker sores. But that's what that wax stuff is for. It also helps if you have a good dentist.
It doesn't hurt when they go on, but your teeth are going to hurt pretty soon because they are going to be tightening and moving things alot in your mouth. Ask the dentist for some oragel and take some tylenol. You'll be alright.
Nope, I just got mine about 3 weeks ago...so yeah it dont hurt when their putting them on, but you will start feeling pain tonight and especially tomarrow...so go ahead and start takin some ibuprofen this afternoon so itll start workin before the pain comes!!
When i got my braces on it didn't really hurt but after a while it started to hurt. (after an hour or two). The only times your braces will hurt is when you first get them on and when they tighten them.
If I remember correctly, they don't really hurt until AFTER the the braces are put on your teeth! Your teeth might ache from the pressure, as the braces are slowly shifting your teeth. But eventually the pain goes away as you get used to wearing them. Sometimes we have to sacrifice and endure unpleasantness. Just know that when you get them off you'll have straight teeth!
