My aging parent has recently experienced severe Migraine. Is this curable? If not, how to alleviate the pain

Please take her to the DR and then she will be able to be treated properly and hopefully effectively. There are alot of NEW meds that have come out
Topomax is a new one (**hint if she gets this med the feeling of numbness in hands are normal if she get it-- ) took away the PAIN just didnt like me-had extreme allergy..
Hope mom gets to feeling better- Maybe she needs a "DIET" change or if she is on other meds, needs them adjusted.
