How to cure a bad cold?

Question:
I have been sick since Saturday (almost 4 full days now); went to the doctor who said they needed to wait for a swab before they would prescribe anything. I have NOT been getting better - very rare for me.

I have been drinking water and Gatorade like mad, plus taking about 2,000 mg of Vitamin C each day. Although I can't taste anything, I have been eating well. I tried Tylenol Sinus to clear up my airways and it seemed to make things worse. I have nothing in my chest; its all in my sinuses (post-nasal drip, nasal congestions, runny nose). You should hear how I sound!

Usually when I'm sick, it lasts only a couple days; I get better during the day and its worse at night and in the morning, but this is consistenly awful. I have a 4 month old that has been staying with my mom since Sunday. I miss him so much my heart aches.

Can someone give me some tips to help myself recover faster?

Thanks in advance!

Answers:
use Airborne----its a seltzer tablet invented by a teacher who was sick of catching colds. it tastes great--orangey--and helps you get rid of your cold quicker. and is affordable. find it in pharmacy....FBS!
I hate to say it but the old fashion enema will do the trick, Like they did years ago.
Awww, that's awful... You should warm yourself by smelling ( You know what I mean ) hot water... Thats how I do it... Or eat sour fruits like orange, lemons that contains citrusness
