Question:
For as long as I could remember I have been having problems with my shoulders. It used to be that when sleeping on my side at night my arms would pop out of place and I would naturally react to popping it back in and wake up just in time to feel the pain. Now it's starting to happen with daily activities when Im throwing text books in my back seat and even more recently while I was backing up and only looking in my review mirror my shoulder moved just a bit and next thing I know I was popping it into place. I'm not really sure what to do, do I go to the doctor and explain or do I get my bones tested or what.
Please Help! I'm in pain.
Answers:
Yes go to the doctor. There is a disease/disorder that causes this to happen. I'm not saying thats what you have but it could be. Go to the doc and have it checked out for sure, maybe they can do something to help you out! Good luck!
go to the doctor, they can recommend a treatment plan!
You have multi-directional instability of the shoulder...this happens when the ligaments surrounding the shoulder are loose. You should see an orthopedic doctor to have your shoulders examined and then get a referral for physical therapy. The therapy will help to strengthen the muscles in your rotator cuff which help in keeping your shoulder tight. Most of the time PT will help solve the problem but if it doesnt then you may need surgery.
