Went swimming in pool that was shocked 10 minutes prior...?
Question:
Should I go to the doctor, or just wait it out?
Answers:
See the doctor .. you could have chemical burns in your throat/esophagus.
It depends on how your feeling. It could be something else other than the pool! Dont take your chances with your health, and seek help if it gets too bad
Go to a doctor right now. Clorine is deadly poisen.
id drink a lot of water and try to flush out your system. if you feel any differently than you were if you had a cold, id go to a doc...if you just feel normal sick lol, then just wait it out...look up online what the chemicals could potentially do, or look on the bottle of chemicals that your dad poured in
See the doctor my friend got anasty desias from that. Sorry for crappy Spelling
Yes go to the doctor sounds like chemical burns or you may have some type of reaction.
You should have went wednesday night! Pool chemicals or any kind of chemical is serious business and should not be handled lightly. Immediate attention is required for you and if you do get there soon, it can cause lasting effects and damage you permanetly!
Chlorine can burn.. I'd go get it checked out. They can make sure it's not deeper damage and if it's minor give you something soothing and healing for your throat.
I think you should call a doctor and ask because that can be very serious if not taken care of. There is an indoor water park resort in my area and I know a few people that have had to take their children to the docs after spending the day there from to much chlorine. That stuff is toxic I don't go into pools with it!
Just wait it out.
You probably have nothing more than a summer cold which will you will probably not even notice tomorrow.
The chemicals used for Pool Shocking are designed for Shock & Swim, so you can swim within a very short period of time after clorination.
I'm sure your dad was following the guidelines and used a dipstick to measure the chemical levels prior to allowing anyone to swim.
If the chemical levels were too high, your eyes would have been the first thing to give it away as they would have been very red and would have been burning almost immediately.
You also said that it was Wednesday night that you went swimming. If it was the chemicals, you would have had a reaction a lot sooner than two days later.
