Question:
My left ankle makes a clicking sound and I can feel it pop out of place everytime I lift it up after stepping on it. Can I do anything to make it better? Doesn't really seem like a doctor related thing so I'm hoping somebody has the same problem and a way to fix it. I'm not overweight so maybe I just have a weak ankle.
Answers:
The clicking is actually produced by your ligaments or tendons rubbing over your ankle bones. If you are able to reproduce the clicking without any pain, I would not worry about it too much. Sometimes if you have someone loosen your muscles and ligaments and tendons around your calf and ankle that will help with the tension created on the tendon or ligaments that is making the clicking noise.
