Does Oxycontin and heroin give you the same effect?

They are both opiates ,but heroin is much stronger. They do have very similar effects in that they cause a euphoric sort of high. Yet heroin last longer, is much more addictive and of coarse illegal. Both however are addictive and should be avoided unless prescribe by a doctor (oxy that is).
They are from the same family thus have the same effects, but Heroin is much stronger.
The high is supposed to be a very similar euphoric feeling. This is why people get so addicted to both.
I took Oxycontin and it didn't feel like heroin. I've never taken heroin, but heard that it really gets rid of the pain. Oxycontin just pissed me off because it didn't do ANYTHING for me. I told me doctor that I refused to pay for meds that didn't work, so he put me on something different.
