I think they told me to keep mine in for 3 months... But I didn't change it for like a year, I was worried about infection if I took it in and out all the time. Call the place that did it, and see what they recommend. Just make sure you do what they say so you don't get an infection. Almost everyone I know.. has gotten an infection after their piercing. But I have not. So I would recommend leaving it in for as long as you can. I've had it for 7-8 years now.
You are supposed to wait 6 months but i changed mine at 4 and it did not get infected but everyones healing process is going to be different but if you do change it early i advise you to make sure every thing is CLEAN! Good luck
