This is called Postural Hypo tension. Basically what happens is, when you are stood for a long time in one place, your breathing slows and so does your heart rate. You are not aware you are doing it. Eventually the heart rate slows to a speed where you would normally be asleep and lying down and so you faint.
This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
if blood pressure drops too quick it is possible to pass out.
have you been eating properly and drinking enough you could be dehydrated
you,ve been in hailing helium. havnt you.
This is actually a common event, if you stand for long peroids of time, even 5 minutes in some cases, with your knees locked it cuts off circulation. People faint from this. Especially if it was hot out. As for the stiff neck t's most likely from the fall.
this happened to me once in bournemouth! very embarrassing on a busy day, got carted off by st johns ambulance! They said the same thing it was due to a drop in blood pressure. I too hit my head and felt stiff afterwards! Probably due to the impact! I had a couple of days off work cause i had slight concussion! Hope you feel better soon makes sure you drink lots and are eating properly! xx
Drink plenty of water, it's summer and not many people know that drinking about 4-6 cups or so can prevent dehydration.
Lack of water can lead to fainting and slight dizziness, even nausea and hospitals won't know what's wrong.
That may be it.
very often a sudden change in BP (going low) can make you feel faint and cause you to pass out.
it is good news that all your vital signs were good.
Your neck may feel stiff owing to your fall?
Are you feeling overanxious? tension can also cause stiff neck and pain.
Try some gentle relaxation techniques and relax a little. i am sure you will be fine. I would suggest keeping an eye on your blood pressure to ensure it is not going too low.
If you are still concerned then see a GP.
