It could be a number of things..
Appendicitis, Gallbladder Disease or even simple as not having a regular bowel movement. With not going to the bathroom regularly, other things can also occur like gas. Try taking in some fiber to help you go. If the pain still persists, then you really should see your doc.

I did you pull some muscles, or sustain a blow to your side? You need to be a bit more specific. What part of your body? How long has it been painful and what precipitated it.
If it's only been happening for a few days, it could just be gas or something you ate( it would surprise you how painful gas can really get) if its a long term thing, maybe an injury that had a delayed reaction, sleeping a certain way can cause this too.
If you have a sharp tingly feeling on your left side, that means your apendix is inflamed and is going to burst. If you don't get it taken care of, this will lead to toxic chemicals in your body that is lethal. Get help ASAP!
