You might be a little chafed down there... it's possible that you could have a urinary tract infection too. If it still feels that way later today, call your doctor.

Obvious choice, would be an STD. However, you say that the burning and swelling has gone down. You may have had a little rough sex, and you may have gotten something up your peehole that caused the burning. For instance, if you get soap up there, from the shower, it burns like that as well. Couldn't tell you what got up there. Maybe she used douche? Who knows.
Either way, get it checked out, and use a condom genius.
