I cant go to sleep!?

does anyone know any tricks to getting to sleep at night??

I will usually rub one out.. and then i sleep like a baby!
Lie down on your bed and close your eyes.
i cant go to sleep either i usually lay around for like 3 hours before i actually fall asleap unless im just exausted. try to wake up early and dont nap during the day
watch tv or listen to some soothing music I guess...at least that is what I would do

i know a trick that will get the job done
Why dont u go for an evening jog or swim? Its healthy and wears you out.

Here are a few suggestions:
-read a good book while lying in bed
-don't consume any type of sugar or caffeine anytime even close before you go to bed
-try not to get to hyper or participate in any high energy activites close before bed
-put on some soft music
-if your room isn't already really dark then wear an eye mask
-get a "relaxation" spray that they make especially for bedtime and spray it on your bed before you get in it.
dont sleep during the day,avoid any caffeinated drinks after 3pm or even 2,,,and take a warm shower before bed..oh dont forget a cup of milk too
Believe me, i know all about sleeping problems. I have an unofficial case of Insomnia. i'll do the best I can to help.
Sometimes, just being uncomfortable can cause you to not sleep. That's why I started sleeping in the corner of my bed, pressing my pillows against the wall and cramming myself in there with a fan blowing in my face.
Sometimes calm music helps.

Somethings like stress could be a factor.
Do something to help you forget about stress, like do something mindless. Play tetris, scrub something.

It's always helpful to get a change of scenery. Sleep on the couch, or sleep on the opposite side of your bed.

Or, I learned this trick, it works sometimes, try to stay awake. Don't think about sleeping. Try and see how long you can stay awake, and watch how fast you fall asleep.

I don't suggest sleeping pills. But that's just my opinion. Seeing as how I'm terrified of mental enhancers and medication...

But anyhow, that's all the advice I've got.

If I can't sleep I practise going through the alphabet - backwards..

It's a little meditative...It generally helps me to get to sleep, and you learn something that impresses most people at the same time!
get up and do something boring like chores or clean, eventually you get tired enough to sleep.
Well my brother says to count sheep but i say do what i normally do:

~ Taking a hot shower or bath relaxes you and calms your body down

~Drinking something hot like tea ((But it dose have caffeine)) helps calm you down as well

~Take some Tylenol PM...that help make you drowsy

~Listen to some soothing music while laying down

~Try watching a movie or some TV while laying down

~Or try reading while laying down


That's some of the things that I do to get to sleep, normally they help for me!
