You can hear but you have lots of hearing loss until you get it repaired.
well, yes, with the other ear.
with the hurt ear, you can only hear noises that are quite loud.
additional info: blowing your eardrum hurts like hell. but only the blowing. after it's blown, it doesn't hurt any more. BUT: it is now very susceptible to infections, as the opening to your ear canal is, well, blown open.
not really sure but i think it would be very painful. best to check the doc about this.
