Is there a spray-on anesthetic or pain-killer I can use on my scalp?

There are all kinds of spray-on analgesics (pain-killers). Anesthetics are usually by prescription only.
What you want to buy depends on the nature of your need for pain relief. Burn? Sunburn? Stitches? Insect bite or sting? Chemical burn?
The pharmacist at your drugstore can advise you which one will work best for you.

You shouldn't use topical analgestics (pain relievers) on your scalp because it's just going to burn like hell. If you injured the top your head use an ice pack for the pain or see a doctor.

Do not try any pain killers as it will be toxic for the scalp. The best treatment would be to alternate warm (not hot) & cool (not cold) compress by changing the temperature of water. Use a wet sponge or cloth for this purpose. your pain will vanish.
There is also an Acupressure correspondence point on top of your thumb, a little away from the nail. Press on it, you may find it sensitive, but it doesnt matter. It will be sensitive because you have pain. Stimulate it by using a probe, a match stick or a tooth pick, you will feel the pain vanish.
