Can a physician give a seminar that will in turn give his side business more referrals?

Question:
I work at a non-profit hospital and there is a podiatrist that will be giving a "foot care" seminar. Well they happen to own a retail store that sells shoes and foot care products, etc. Now on the fliers for this seminar their store logo is printed on it with pictures of inside their store. Now is this violating any laws, I would like to bring something up to my manager, but I wanted to see what you guys thought. Obvisously, they want referrals to their store either for the employees to come or for the employees to refer patients to the store. but at a non-profit hospital to post their logo...?

Answers:
That might be how they compensate him instead of paying him.
Of course. Welcome to the business world.
