Tingly hands?
Question:
Now it's back, which I think is strange, because I've been well-hydrated and cooled all day, and just did a bit of shopping and gardening. I noticed it while I was at the store, which was about three hours ago, and the tingling is the same as before. It is sort of like when you lick a 9 volt, you know?
I asked my friend about it and she said that it was probably a pinched nerve or due to high blood pressure since the cooling and hydration didn't have an effect. But my blood pressure is rather low (like 100/70) and I can't think how
Answers:
i agree, from what you have said, it sounds like a pinched nerve. you may have really rocked the nerve in your hand that runs to those fingers. also sitting for a long time with your elbows on the table can do the same thing. going to the doctor is a good idea but a few rounds of physical therapy should really do the trick. Physical Therapists are trained to handle situations just like yours! no this isn't some shameless plug for PT! i'm only a student so i don't have anything to gain from suggesting you see a physical therapist! Just take the pressure off your hand and elbow and if the tingles don't go away the pinch may be higher up near your spine. Do you ride a bicycle a lot? a lot of cyclists get the same symptoms..it's called ulnar neuropathy. anyway, good luck! hope this helps.
You more than likely pinched a nerve, but if it keeps tingling I would go to the doctor.
