I recieved a black eye while playing basketball..?

Question:
OK, so i blew my nose after the game at home. And the side I got hit on swelled as soon as I blew. From the top of my brow to by jaw. My eye is now a slit and I'm pretty swollen. Also, the bridge of my nose hurts to touch.
I got hit *very* hard. I have a high threshold of pain and this one hurt.
I slept quite good though, so no real problems as far as aches and pains.
I blew out clots from the side i got hit this morning.
Anything to be concerned about? it made such a terrible sound when i got the blow.
ps; i'm don't really like going to the doctors...so any people who have experienced a good hit in the face, let me know the symptoms and feelings etc...
thank you everybody, I appreciate your time to read this and all of your feedback.

Peace
jay

Answers:
You really should see a doctor. They say you should never blow your nose after getting a black eye because the pressure could cause a blowout fracture of the eye socket if the damage was bad enough. It sounds like this may have been what happened to you, and it can mess up the way your eye moves when looking around, requiring reconstructive surgery.

Don't take any chances with your vision. Go see a doctor A.S.A.P.
