I got 3 stitches in the corner of my lip. Will it hurt getting them taken out?

Well my cousin and I were swimming in my neighbours pool and she wI have had them as fooling around and yelled "i'm a breaching whale!", slung her elbow back and dove into the pool. When her elbow came back, it hit me right on the side of my mouth. My tooth drove through the corner of my upper lip. My mom rushed me to the hospital, where a doctor froze the cut with a needle, and then stitched 3 stitches into the corner, instructing me to apply polsporin to it whenever it feels dry. He said I could get them removed in a week.

I am getting them taken out in 2-3 days now. The swelling has started to go down, but it is slightly bruised. Will it hurt when they are removed? Will there be any blood at all?

Answers:
Not necessarily, some ppl feel no pain, others do. But they will more than likely use a spray on your lip to numb it, then they will take them off. Dont stress it, it will be over b4 you know it =)

You will feel a dull pain that will last less than a second. No bleeding, just minimal if at all. You will be fine.

I definitely won't be as bad as getting them put in was. Mostly it just feels like pressure. Shouldn't be any blood. Relax the worst is over.
