Hip pain what type of Dr. should I see?
Question:
Answers:
Hi! If this feels like bone pain then you should see an Orthopedist to see if their is any bone involvement. He/She can also determine the exact cause and what needs to be done. Something as simple as changing the type of shoes you wear or an shoe insert can make all the difference in the world. Most people who have hip and or back pain tend to be out of alignment and need to be put "back" so to speak. A chiropractor may also be of assistance or a massage therapist. See a doctor first and go from there. The first thing is to get a proper diagnosis and then speak about any treatment if necessary and any and all options. If you have any other questions, please ask. Marie
Depends on where your hip hurts and how it hurts. Did you injury yourself recently or has this been a progression? I have something called SI dysfunction or Sacroiliac Dysfunction. I have hip pain that is inside the hip joint almost the tailbone. Go to www.sidysfunction.com they have a self test that you can do. If the test shows that you need further help, I would try to see a general practitioner and ask to be referred to a physical therapy program for assessment. If you are close to Atlanta, then I recommend Body Mechanics Physical Therapy. They made me walk again!
