I get headaches alot, does anyone know of any tricks to get rid of them?

Question:
Or do you know of any really good pain relievers? I take Advil, but it doesn't work that great--sometimes my head still hurts.

Answers:
The best idea is for you to find out what is causing your headaches. It could be anything from stress to diet. That being said, you may be getting used to the Advil. Try switching to Tylenol. They work different ways, so you may have more luck with one than the other. Another good one is Excedrin.
Advil is ibuprofen, so is Motrin. The tablets are 200mg tablets and you can take up to four of them (800mg) three times a day (every 8 hours). If you take four, make sure you eat before you do otherwise you're going to give yourself an ulcer in your stomach. If this doesn't work take two Anacin Max Strength (Red labeled bottle you can pick up at your drug store). It contains Aspirin and caffeine. Aspirin, like Ibuprofen, is an anti-inflammatory that will help reduce the swelling in your blood vessels which is known to cause headaches. Caffeine is a suppressor that helps which is why they put it in pain meds. If this doesn't work feel free to email me.
Excedrin, Tylenol, and Advil are all great for headaches but DON'T TAKE THEM ALL AT ONCE, CHOOSE ONE! There's also a pressure point in between your thumb and pointer finger that you can press on and will sometimes relieve the pain.
acupuncture works really really well. but you might want to get a catscan or something to make sure there isn't a reason or a problem that is causing the headaches. The way to go though would be acupuncture, good luck w/ your headaches also make sure to drink lots of water!
