Answers:
If you can find a way to see someone, it would probably be in your best interest. The success of your pain relief will vary greatly depending on what is wrong.
I have chronic low back pain, and ice seems to be the fastest relief I get. Ice helps a lot more than heat for me, as heat can encourage swelling, which will cause more pain.
Gentle stretching and strengthening exercises may help, but if you have an injury, you could hurt yourself further. If you have access to a swimming pool, swimming and just walking around in the water are great low-impact strengtheners.
Whenever my back is bothering me it seems to help if I do abdominal excercises. Crunches are the easist and most popular and you will find them to be plenty helpful
